Dust off the original meaning of "ranch house" to describe the Turner Ranch in Rancho Santa Fe. An overview of the single-family complex shows four separate components and a four-stall barn with a guest unit above. The "out-back" showcases a championship dressage area for the horses. Designed as an equestrian resort, Turner Ranch reflects the owners' love of California's early agrarian architecture. The use of wood siding, stone and dark roof tiles complete the design. Nearby historic buildings were used to guide the design.
