At the request of the City of Chula Vista, Allard Jansen & Associates was hired by the master plan developer of Otay Ranch to design a prototype building for its Village 5 core. Located at the village center and at a cross roads of mass transit and pedestrian passes, the Lomas Verde project provides the "critical mass" of people and activity needed to establish a sense of community in a otherwise auto-dominated suburban development.
